Book Review: Martha's American Food

I love America.  I love food.  What could be better?

Nick doesn't like tomato soup or grilled cheese sandwiches.  I don't know what kind of Communist I'm shacking up with.  I don't like it.

Excuse me while I eat this page.

Okay, now we're really getting somewhere.

Part of the reason I hope pray wish that we move to Charlotte soon.

I took about forty more pictures of recipes I liked, but I figured I'd stop before MSO contacts me about copyright infringement.  Buy it.  You'll love it.

  1. The photos that you have posted have succeeded in making me completely ravenous! That coconut cake looks amazing and how on earth does Nick not love tomato soup and grilled cheese? So sad. :( The book looks great- are the recipes organized according to region? I might have to pick up a copy. :)

    1. I don't know, he has the weirdest food tastes! Everyone loves grilled cheese and tomato soup!

Yes, the book starts with all-American--apple pie, grilled cheese and tomato soup, etc.--and then splits into regions. I decided I could live in the southeast or southwest, just based on food alone! The recipes might be available online, but honestly, the photography in the book is amazing and worth it!
